Research alert preferences
Control what research changes appear in your Notification Center.
What this does
Research alert preferences let you control which research-change notifications appear in your Notification Center: a single switch for research update notifications (new financial data and Research Profile changes), plus the ability to mute individual companies you'd rather not get alerts about.
When to use it
Open Settings any time you want to turn research-update notifications off entirely, or stop alerts for one specific company you're tracking but don't need updates on.
How to do it
- Open Settings from the sidebar.
- Use the Research update notifications switch to turn alerts on or off entirely.
- To mute one company instead, open its Research page and click Mute alerts near Recent Research Changes.
- Click Restore default in Settings at any time to return to the platform default (notifications on, nothing muted).
What you'll see
Turning a preference off changes ONLY what appears in your Notification Center. It does not change the underlying research: Watchlists' "What's new" column and Home's "Changes since your last visit" keep showing exactly what changed, whether or not notifications are on. Nothing here changes your Research Profile, tiers, or any other analysis, and nothing here is an investment recommendation -- these settings control what research information is shown, never what to buy or sell.
If something goes wrong
If Settings doesn't load, try again -- this is the same kind of temporary data issue as anywhere else in the platform. If a preference change doesn't seem to take effect, refresh Notifications; the underlying research is never affected either way.
